Hi! I’m Mark, an entrepreneurial product leader – at my core I love building products and finding novel ways to take them to market. As a repeat founder (3x, 2x exit (Educhain, Vantyr)), I’ve both taken companies from "product-market-fit" to “go-to-market-fit”, solutioning both product and sales (and much more) for the first $0-1m & $1-10m.
I was born to an immigrant family that came to Canada with $20. Business, investments, and entrepreneurship were dinner table topics since I learned to speak.
I started earning my own allowance money from the age of 8 flipping comics and fireworks. I built my first business (video editing agency for local realtors) and started investing at 12, built a bitcoin brokerage at 14, went to Canada's top b-school at 16 with a 96.5% GPA, founded a small hedge fund at 17 (which we later learned was technically illegal), and by 18 dropped out to found Educhain which we scaled for 6 years to a market leader in digital credentialing, before exiting to private equity at 24.
On the side, I eventually finished my degree remotely with a modest 84% GPA, advised the United Nations and World Economic Forum, and founded Accelliance - a boutique consultancy where we worked with multinationals, banks, and government on digital and innovation strategy and led implementation for software projects rolled out to millions of users.
My partners and I then founded Vantyr to addressing one of the fastest-growing pain points in cybersecurity: securing non-human identities (NHIs). We advised several CISOs at leading banks, talked to over 300 CISOs and expert practitioners, and worked with top F1000 companies before being acquired by Ark Infotech.
